(2) 19th c. Rectangular Hinge Lidded Open Work Jewelry Boxes, including: Brass filigree box, probably French, with crowned salamander (Francis I emblem and mascot which was carved in to his chateaus at Fontainebleau and Chambord) and fleur-de-lis cross motifs to lid and sides, griffin form feet, empty leather drawstring bag inside, 1 3/4" high, 4" x 3 1/4", one leg bent. Late 19th c. silver plated box with fox figure on lid by Wilcox Silver Plate Co. (Meriden, CT, 1867-1961), #1930, with openwork Greek Key design around sides, set on four paw feet, 3" high, 4 3/8" x 3 1/4", plating losses.
