[sight] signed and dated lower right LOT NOTESLeroy Neiman, widely known for depicting American celebrities, athletes and sporting events, created the “Femlin” character exclusively for Playboy Magazine in 1955. Being a close friend of Hugh Hefner, Neiman produced Femlins for 50 years for every monthly issue of Playboy. These naughty and sexual women symbolized the Playboy aesthetic of the 1960s and 70s, and became icons of popular culture.
