A hollow-formed gilt bronze figurine of Arya Tara sitting on a lotus flower dais wearing an elaborate headdress, stems with flowers in her extended hands; enamelled detailing to the crown, skirt and base. 6.6 kg, 44cm (17 1/4"). From the Chinese art collection of the eminent anthropologist and collector, Desmond Morris, author of 'The Naked Ape'; acquired 1980-1990s. Fine condition. Unusual with the champleve enamelling.
