A ceramic figurine of a horse standing on a rectangular base with saddle cloth reaching the base, the mane crested tail trailed along the right hind leg, bridle and harness applied; the rider robed with wide sleeves, holding a water-canteen(?) in his raised hands; separate head with beard and moustache, wedge-shaped hat; red pigment to the horse, some black elsewhere. 3 kg, 34.5cm (13"). Property of a North London gentleman; acquired on the UK art market before 2000. Fine condition, some abrasion.
