Heuer launched the Verona as late as 1978, but, much to the delight of the mechanical chronograph lovers, it was introduced with a Calibre 12 automatic movement. The brushed case was a paragon of elegance and was reminiscent of the chronographs of the 1950's. It had a polished steel or gold bezel, which contrasted nicely with the brushed case finish and this was specific to the Verona.
