Chinese Qing Dynasty silk robe ( recut) with blue ground, late 19th/ early 20th Century. Centre back shows an embroidered gold work five clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl, surrounded by ruyi clouds, bats, medallions and the panelled front has similar embroidered symbols. The lower part has embroidered waves crashing onto mountains with a wide lishui striped hem. The robe has been tailored with open front, long sleeves and two front pockets. Length approx 113cm. All edges are finished with gold work ribbon and robe is unlined. Condition report available on request
