This is a wonderful Chinese famille verte biscuit porcelain Fu wine pot decorated in overglaze polychrome enamels featuring two rectangular panels - one with a deity and attendant holding a parasol, a figure kneeling before him holding a baby deer, the other with a deity and attendant with palm fan and a kneeling figure proffering a liberation cup. The rest of the body with prunus blossom on speckled aubergine ground. Yellow and green raised borders around the pot and panels. The spout and handle with a faux bamboo appearance. An apochryphal Kangxi leaf mark to the base. Measures: H: 18.5 cm; L: 20 cm. Circa: 19th c. Condition: Focal repair to the neck, otherwise in good condition.
