A PAIR OF CHINESE GILT BRONZE CLOISONNé OIL LAMPS, LATE QING DYNASTY (1644-1912)/REPUBLIC OF CHINA (1912-1949), modeled as mythical quilong dragons with writhing bodies inlaid with archaic style dragon and phoenix among pink, red, turquoise, and yellow enameled swirls, ending in a flaming tail, and standing on claw feet, the head turns upward, issuing an Art Nouveau stylized smoke swirl, terminating in pearl with a lid that can be removed to reveal an oil wick or reversed to accommodate a candle stick; marked number 22 throughout.
