A PARCEL GILT ENAMELED ABHAYAMUDRA STANDING BUDDHA OF BLESSING AND PROTECTION, in the Northern Qi Dynasty (AD 550-577) taste, the Buddha with blue painted hair carved as a series of small spiraled pinwheels culminating in a restrained ushnisha, over arched eyebrows and downcast eyes, above a well defined mouth and chin, over a robe with unusual, low relief, slightly abstracted, geometric figural carving, raised on a traditional lotus bloom form base.
