A CHINESE CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER CEREMONIAL SCEPTER, POSSIBLY REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949), of traditional form with a stylized ruyi head, centering long robed deities descending from scrolling clouds, above a pavilion amidst mountainous cliffs beneath an ancient pine, within fretwork detailed trim continuing on a curved rectangular neck enclosing lotus blooms, over a central contoured panel framing Buddhistic symbols and ending in a similarly sculpted conforming panel.
