Description: An Imperial Chinese cinnabar covered box dating from the Qianlong period. The top is carved with Longevity character and carving of Shou, accompanied by 2 5-clawed dragons and a basket of treasures and precious items. Around the sides of the lid and base are 4 scenes of scholars in a landscape interspersed with 4 treasures. Dimensions are: 5 1/2 inches tall X 15 1/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
