TWO SMALL VASES, SIGNED SHUSAN, AND FOUR SAKE CUPS WITH FLORAL DECORATIONS
Porcelain with colors and goldJapan, Meiji period (1868-1912) or laterThe vases have slightly ovoid, elongated bodies with conical necks which are completely gold on the exterior. Dense compositions with many different flowers on the sides, dominated by large white chrysanthemums, also with peonies, asters and others. Recessed bases with gold signature SHUSAN 秀 山 within rectangular reserves. The sake cups are very finely painted on the interior and exterior with flowers and several fruit, all outlines with gold.
