IronJapan, 19th centuryTsuba rendered in the style of the old ko-katchushi, of strongly rounded kakugata form with ryohitsu and two oval udenake-ana, rounded and slightly raised rim, the main motif is pierced as a negative and shows an arched nata (small cleave), polished surface and blackening.
