Of rectangular form, the base with a recessed rectangular reserve. The stone in a matching, lacquered wood box with cover. With a smooth grinding surface, carved around the recessed inkwell with a neatly incised rain and cloud border, the stone of a purplish-brown color.
Dimensions: SIZE stone 15.8 x 10.4 x 1.8 CM, SIZE box 17 x 11.5 x 3.5 CM
Condition: The stone with some wear and surface scratches as well as one chip to the lower right corner – the box with extensive damage to the lacquer
Provenance: Austrian private collection, with old collector’s numbers “20342 Or. 3532” inscribed both on the stone and the box
