China, late 18th – mid 19th century
A highly detailed minute carving depicting a noble lady holding a fan, wearing earrings and flowers in her courtly hairstyle, posing before a geometrical and reticulated pattern in an oval medallion surrounded by Chrysanthemum petals.
Dimensions: 6.9 x 9.2 cm. 2 mm thick.
Condition: Excellent, with minor losses to reticulated areasthat are hard to spot with the naked eye
