Carved from solid hardwood, possibly Huanghuali, with openwork carvings, an integrated table plate extension system, the neatly incised inlays made from mother-of-pearl

Provenance: From the private collection of a German diplomat, who acquired this lot during the 1930s in China (by repute). Thence by descent.
