The Indian stone carving shows Shiva with Uma in the typical Uma-Maheshvara-Murti. Shiva is seated with one leg tucked up, holding a staff with trident in one of his four hands. He is embracing Uma, who is considerably smaller and lying on his leg, with one arm. The sandstone figure shows a turtle with a fine pattern executed in relief on the shell and a strikingly large head.
Dimensions: HEIGHT SHIVA 12.3 CM, LENGTH TURTLE 8.5 CM
Condition: One hand and one attribute are missing from the Shiva carving, the sandstone figure shows signs of aging. Overall good condition
