ANGKOR PERIOD KHMER CERAMIC HARE VESSEL – 11th/12th CENTURY
Low-fired stoneware, covered with a brittle brown glaze
Khmer Empire, Angkor Period - 11th to 12th century
Vessel of rare zoomorphic form, formed as a hare with bulging eyes and inclined erect ears, the mouth smiling. The tail formed as a handle, legs hinted, decorated with a hatch pattern along the contour and legs. Opening at the back and underside left unglazed.

Condition: Good condition with few tiny chips
