LARGE ANGKOR PERIOD KHMER CERAMIC OIL VESSEL – 12th/13th CENTURY
Low-fired stoneware, covered with a brittle brown glaze
Khmer Empire, Angkor Period - 12th to 13th century
Highly appealing vessel of large size which functioned as an oil container. With grooves at the neck, base and shoulder. The neck is flared, and the spout shows a curve. The base is left unglazed.
Dimensions: HEIGHT 20 CM, DIAMETER 18 cm
Condition: Several chips as well as restoration to spout
