TL-test certificate no. 459012, dated January 1991, by the Kotalla laboratory in Germany included.
The stirrup spout vessel with the twin’s macaws depicted in a naturalistic manner standing on a rectangular base. Chimu vessels can be distinguished by their burnished charcoal surface and the appliqued element at the base of the spout, in this case a small monkey on the left side.
Dimensions: HEIGHT 22,5 CM, WIDTH 10 CM
Condition: Small chip on the lip and tail, overall good condition
Provenance: Formerly part of the Lüders Collection (Germany), acquired around 1991, then property of Galerie Alt-Amerika in 1991
