U-SHAPED VESSEL - SALINAR CULTURE, PERU, C. 200 BC

Of curved u-shaped body, the bottom flat and the curved handle serving as a bridge between the two parts. On one end is the spout, while, on the other, a human head closes off the piece, a small perforation to whistle on its head.
Dimensions: HEIGHT 13 CM, LENGTH 15 CM
Condition: Optical appearance very good, restorations to exposed areas and few tiny chips
Provenance: Once part of the collection of Dr. Gottfried Eysank of Marienfels, Bad Sch?nau, Lower Austria, acquired before 1970, then property of Galerie Alt-America in 2011
