DOUBLE-CHAMBERED WHISTLE VESSEL - MOCHE CULTURE, PERU, C. 400 AD

The grayish polished ceramic consists of two connected bellied vessels, one with a tall spout and the other with a human face, which counts with six small perforations to whistle. A round, arched bridge connects the two vessels.
Dimensions: HEIGHT 45 CM, LENGTH 23 CM
Condition: Optical appearance very good, restorations to exposed areas
Provenance: Once part of the collection of Dr. Gottfried Eysank of Marienfels, Bad Sch?nau, Lower Austria, acquired before 1970, then property of Galerie Alt-America in 2011
