DOUBLE-CHAMBERED BIRD WHISTLE VESSEL - INCA EMPIRE, PERU, C. 1400 AD

The grayish polished ceramic consists of two connected bellied vessels, one with a tall spout and the other with a sitting bird with a long beak, a small perforation under the beak to whistle. A flat, straight bridge connects the two vessels.
Dimensions: HEIGHT 18 CM, LENGTH 20 CM
Condition: Optical appearance very good, restored; a long crack along one vessel
