Description: A Hellenic or Roman figure of Cerberus, probably 1st c. A.D., 4,2 cm high // The three-headed sitting guardian of Hades has the middle head (Molosser or lion) aligned frontally; the tail placed over the left hind leg. Snakes wind around the forelegs and shoulders. The lateral heads show hunting dogs. Condition: With nice dark patina. The left hind leg and a snake head have broken away, the right hind leg is glued.
