Description: Group of Six Chinese Snuff Bottles
Qing Dynasty and later
Comprising a spinach green jade of rounded form gilt with a scene depicting a lady playing the qin seated beside trees and rockwork, the reverse with an inscription; a celadon jade bottle carved in the form of a double gourd issuing curling tendrils and bearing further double gourds, the stone an even tone; a metal mounted celadon jade bottle with round discs centered by a raised malachite bead, the frame inlayed with coral and turquoise beading; an agate of rounded rectangular form with pale gray cloud like inclusions; an agate bottle of baluster form carved with fluted panels below a petal band at the neck, the grayish stone with chestnut inclusions; and an agate example of flattened ovoid form raised on an oval foot, the stone with dark brown, gray and chestnut abstract markings.
