A neoclassical Greek revival “Grand Tour” bronze and marble gueridon table, by Sabatino de Angelis, Naples, Italy, 1908. This wonderful bronze and green marble gueridon with neo-Grecian monopedia legs depicting winged figures was produced in 1908 at the Neopolitan foundry of Sabatino de Angelis & Fils. The firm operated in the mid to late 19th century and was known throughout Europe for producing exceptional copies of classical (Greek and Roman) artwork in bronze and stone that were commonly bought during the Grand Tour.
