The vase is crafted of rectangular section and circular flaring neck and foot, each flat side is decorated in low relief with a different flower ? camellias, roses, osmanthus, and chrysanthemum on a ring-punched ground.

Compare stylistically the flowers and the ring-punched ground on the present vase to one dated to the 18th century in the Clague Collection number 252, published in R. Mowry, China's Renaissance in Bronze, The Robert H. Clague Collection of Later Chinese Bronzes, 1100-1900, Phoenix, 1993, pp. 164-165.
Provenance: from a private Dutch collection.
Condition: There is a fine crack around the lower and upper edge of the vase.
Minor dents and wear.
