Description: Ca. 18th century stele depicting a standing Ganesha. The Ganesha is in the Vietnamese Cham style. The rear of the Stele is decorated with the Trident, Axe and Vase of Plenty. A unique Sanskrit inscription in two vertical lines can be seen. The stele without base measures 60cm tall including its pointed socket that allows it to be seated on a base. Loose mounted to a wood base (later). The piece forms part of a pair formed of Lots 51and 52. Provenance: Ex- private Los Angeles, US Collection.
