Chinese Qing Dynasty Dayazhai gilt and famille rose porcelain oval basin. Potted in shallow oval vessel, flat broad cavetto rising the steep round sides, supported upon a slightly receded foot base. The Outer surface is decorated with four seasons blooms flowers in a pink-white-yellow-purple blooms, various green tone foliate over attractive egg-shell pale-green under-glazed ground. The outer lips adorned with gilt overglazed ring. The drawing was superb contrasting the red background. The Four seasons blooms flower meaning is a symbol of joy and a wish for peaceful retirement, the fruit of happiness for its red color and is a symbol of plentiful offspring for its many seeds. All decorating created a harmony vivid color, the composition is sophisticated and the colors are a feast for the eye. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.
Mark on the rim, inscribed in iron-red underglaze with the characters, Dayazhai, beside the oval panel bearing two opposing dragons encircling the characters Tian Di Yi Jia Chun seal mark.
The under base bear a reign mark, four underglaze iron-red script characters, enclosed within square frame border, Yong Qing Chang Chun, eternal joy and everlasting spring. Measurements: Height: 2 1/8" Width: 11 1/4"
