EXTRAORDINARY, RARE and VERY FINE Chinese Qing Dynasty 19th C antique carved Zitan painting table,
Constructed with gorgeous wide broad framed rectangular top panel and surmounted upon a beaded and waisted apron above intrigue carved shaped skirt, terminating to the four prominent squared legs gracefully leading toward hoofed foot. All surfaces are delicately decorated with elaborate hand-carving of Fu Bats and scrolling tendrils. The carving is deep and detail yet smooth to the touch, giving three dimensional appearance in every angles, revealing a masterpiece of workmanship.
A genuine example of imperial furniture. The Zitan wood display smooth lustrous dense hardwood with dark purple-brown hues patina and feathery fine grain.
