Pair of Chinese Qing ruby-red monochrome glazed porcelain bowls. Deep curvature flaring upward to form the rim, with a slightly raised footing. Defined by the deep ruby-red glaze which is sourced from copper as the oxygen is depleted during the firing stage. The interior and concaved central base reserved in white underglaze. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant finish that was applied by a meticulous glaze craftsman.
The under-base bears a reign mark, a six underglazed blue seal script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty. Measurements: Height (each): 2" Diameter (each): 4 7/8"
