Large Chinese Ming Blue and White porcelain Jar. The ginger jar sturdily potted in a globular body, with robust shoulder region curving into a heavy toward the rounded shoulder, gently tapered to the prominent short neck with a wide octagonal opening, divided evenly across the body into eight panels, and raised on a flat base. Main Body decorated with hand painting in cobalt blue of various immortals interspersed by dense of Longevity "Shou" medallions. The neck, shoulder, and foot base banded with interlocking scrolling tendrils, repeating ruyi pattern, and wavy Lishui water patterned ribbons. The underside base with an unglazed burnt brown-orange in the firing and edge-cut on the foot rim. underglazed blue is stable with subtle shades. The Lines of the drawings are clear; the light and dark shades are subtle. It is dense but not too crowded.
