An Extraordinary 19th Century Chinese gilt bronze covered jade censer on cloisonne stand. The Chinese grayish-celadon nephrite jade carved unto a bowl vessel in form of lotus petals. The gilt bronze domed lid pierced in scrolled ruyi pattern. The Exterior delicately carved in deep reliefs in shape of overlapping Lotus petals. The lower body shows reliefs of seated Amitayus Buddha enclosed within flower petal. Elegantly displayed upon cloisonne works stand, of colorful scrolling floral and ruyi over the pale-turquoise blue ground on the mid, banded with gilt bronze on the upper rim. The carving are superb, finely polished plain exterior, simply design yet elegant. A portion of this high-grade white Jade is considered quite rare. Expert workmanship is the absolute highlight of this gorgeous censer. Jade shows pale-celadon color, displays smooth and beautiful clean translucent even tone, finely polished stone, moist milky appearance all over surfaces all over.
