Finely open work carved Chinese Jade recumbent Buddhas hand citron, on its branching stem and leaves which overlay the body. The Buddhas hand citron (Citrus Chirocarpus) derives its Chinese name fo Shou and the alternative English name of "Finger Citron" from its odd shape. It symbolizes "Much Happiness" and is used as an offering for the altar during the Chinese New Year. The nephrite jade carving is smooth, showing moist milky appearance with even tone pale-creme iridescent, beautiful translucent and sporadic golden-russet nature inclusions on the surface.
