Chenxiang brush pot, Carved ChenXiang wood (Aloes wood) Chinese brush pot, in form of asymmetric cylindrical hollow vessel, in organic tree trunk shaped body, slightly wider to the opening. The exterior deftly carved with various levels of relief with continuous scene portraying group of elderly sages in various pursuit within a dense forest and hillside landscape; showing outcrop rock-works, pine trees and further foliate. The intrigue carving is Deep yet smooth, revealing a masterpiece artwork. ChenXiang wood shows golden-honey with dark-brown hued patina. The brush pot is displayed upon a carved hardwood stand.

Its aromatic qualities renders it valuable in the manufacture of incense.
