Antique Chinese Bronze tripod lidded censer. Compressed globular body, a bulbous deep vessel, banded on the rim, raised on three conical short legs. Two looped handles vertically flanked on the lip. The exterior carved with Arabic lettering inscriptions in shallow reliefs, enclosed within ruyi shaped cartouche. All reserved in a dark olive-brown hue molded bronze patina. The hardwood dome lid decorated with open-work carvings of rococo scrolling twigs and crowned by a mythical creature shaped with a crystal finial. Elegantly presented upon a carved hardwood stand.
