Exquisite, Chinese Ming Xuande blue and white porcelain high stem bowl. Deep porcelain bowl, with rounded cavetto rising to form the steep curvature, raised on a splayed countersunk tall foot base. Depiction of Thrashing Long Five-claws dragon amongst dense Li-Shui waves, reaching for flaming pearls. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity. Banded with a fine double ring on the inner and outer rim. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finish is meticulous. The foot bordered with auspicious geometric patterns, reveals the cut edges during the making process, the receded base left white underglaze.
Elegantly upon a carved hardwood stand, fitted unto a pale-brown silk covered hard-cushion, all sets inside an original hardwood lidded box.
The interior bear a reign mark, a vertical six under-glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within a double fine rings, Made in The Years of Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
