Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty Chenghua Blue and white boys motif porcelain bowl. Deep curvature flaring upward to form the rim, with a slightly raised footing. The rim and the foot has a double blue ring around the outer edge. Scenery displays children playing amongst shrubbery and Lily-trees against a scenery backdrop. Abundant of bloom-lily adorns below the body rim. The lily flower is supposed to help one forget their troubles, giving this bowl an easy-going impression. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant finish that was applied by a meticulous glaze.
The under base bear a reign mark, a vertical six under-glazed blue script characters enclosed within double fine rings, Made in The Years of Chenghua Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
