Chinese Qing douqing glazed porcelain Zun vase. Potted in a compressed globular body, tapered gracefully toward narrow spherical neck gently supporting the onion shaped head, leading to narrow opening, raised on small splayed concave oval foot base. Two curved ribbon handles flanked from shoulder to the neck. All reserved in pale-celadon under glazed, thinning at mouth-rim and edges. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.
The under base bear a reign mark, a vertical six under-glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Made in The Years of Jiajing Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.Measurements: Height: 9 3/8" Diameter: 6 1/2"
