Gustave Adolph Wiegand (American, German-born, 1870-1957). Oil on board painting in gilt frame. This painting exhibited at the National Academy of Design, 80th annual exhibition - 1905, where it was awarded the Julius Hallgarten 2nd prize. A winter landscape scene of trees along a country road with the winter's snow almost gone. The colors show the generally drab grays of winter with a hint of spring on the horizon. Signed lower left. Board 19.5" x 30".
