Itaru Tanabe (Japanese, 1886-1968) Oil on canvas painting depicting a flower pot of red roses still life. As noted on the reverse, Tanabe was a professor at the Tokyo School of Fine Art in the 43rd year of Meiji (1910), with this piece having been exhibited at the Imperial Exhibition of Fine Art. Artist signed in lower right, Canvas size: 15 x 18". Set in gold wood frame, behind glass.
