A Chinese sacrificial blue glazed vase, of ovoid form, with a waisted neck that rises to a flared rim, bears a Qianlong type six character mark in underglaze blue to the base, some scratches to the glaze, and a firing fault to the rim, 53 cm high, on a stand, carved lotus leaves, the top (underneath the base of the vase) carved seeds which move within their settings, 62.5 cm high See illustration
Provenance: Descent through the family, probably acquired by a family member who was in Consular Service in China during the late 19th century

The vase fits very well to the base, the base is faded, and has a small terminal missing to the underside
