A hardstone-inset gilt-bronze figure of White Tara
18th centurySeated on a double-lotus pedestal with the legs crossed in dhyanasana, her right hand extended in varadamudra and her left in vitarkamudra, holding the lotus stems blossoming at the shoulders, the palms incised with eyes, adorning necklaces and earrings and the hair neatly tied in high chignon, her benevolent facial expression centred by the third eye and framed by an elaborate headdress.16.8cm (6.5/8in) high.
