A LOTUS JADE BOX, QING DYNASTYChina, late 18th - 19th century. Extremely thin and translucent ‘chicken bone’ jade. Very fine carving on the lid in shallow relief with a central lotus flower, amid leaves and vines in a double-circle medallion. Provenance: British private collection. Condition: Good condition with only one minuscule chip to lower rim. Remainders of black ink to the inside and rims. Fine patina. Weight: 97.6 grams. Dimensions: Diameter 7 cm.
