Description: A Japanese seated Shoki figure. Sumida-Sho. Meiji period. Possibly by Ishiguro Koko. Depicting seated Shoki, with one hand resting on his knee, with the other hand held up near his head. Having his robe decorated with blue, white, brown, and dark green glaze, with painted floral pattern in round medallions. Signed: "Koko" in rectangular reserve. 9 1/4" x 7" x 7 3/4". Provenance: From the collection of Albert J. Bucklin, collected before 1930s.
