A finely carved black steatite head of a mythical beast with lion's head and ram's horns; well defined eyes with high eyebrows, raised nasal ridge and flared nostrils; mounted on a custom-made stand. 21 grams, 63mm including stand (2 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired London art market, 1970-1980. Fine condition.
