A carved schist frieze panel depicting a figural group beneath the leafy canopy of a tree; central figure nimbate, mounted on a ram with harness and bridle; standing robed figure before with flat tongue-shaped implement in the left hand, similar behind with implement raised; mounted on a custom-made display stand. 7.9 kg, 39cm including stand (15 1/4"). Property of a North London gentleman; acquired on the UK art market before 2000. Fine condition.
