Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th centuryEach of rectangular octagonal from, carved in kebori and katabori with an identical design of birds in flight among flowering peony on one side and a uguisu (bush warbler) perched on plum blossoms on the other, the birds inlaid in flat relief of gold, unsigned; with a wood storage box inscribed Mo reishikin fuchin, Gyokusai tsukuru (Scroll weights in the form of reishikin, made by Gyokusai) with seal Gyokusai.
