The attractive illustrations (dep. various apples, pears, cherries, plums, peaches & apricots) by the Dutch artist Sybolt Berghuis (1820-1896) are accompanied by explanatory leaves with Dutch texts by i.a. J. Hooftman Pz. & K.J.W. Ottolander. – A few small imperfections (upper cover of vol. 1 sl. discol., inner hinges weakening, sl. foxed/ browned (partly due to off-setting of the lithographs), a few leaves/ lithographs loose, outer blank margins of 4 plates in vol. 1 sl. cropped), but nevertheless a well-preserved set in good condition.
