Attractive late 17th-cent. world-map published by the Dutch print-maker Frederik de Wit (1630-1706) depicting i.a. California as an island (“California Insvla”) and parts of Australia (“Hollandia Nova” & “t Land van Pieter Nuyts”) & Tasmania (“Ant. van Diemens landt”) as discovered by Abel Tasman (1603-1659) in 1642 & 1644. – Vertical fold in the middle (as publ.). A few brown stains in outer (blank) margins, sl. foxed/ browned, but else in good condition (not examined out of frame).
